LaMarr Robbins - Athletic Alumni 2007

LaMarr grew up in Ann Arbor, entered Ann Arbor High in 1949, and graduated in 1952. LaMarr played football and basketball while in high school. He was named Captain of the basketball team for his senior year.  Ann Arbor High won the 5-A championship that year.  After graduation, LaMarr moved to South Bend, Indiana and played basketball for the Studebaker team (a semi-pro team).  He joined the Air Force and spent 3 years in France.  He also played football, basketball and boxing before coming back to Ann Arbor in 1961.  LaMarr worked at Don's TV for 36 years and retired in 1997.   He played recreation league basketball and fast-pitch softball throughout the years.  He enjoys working at the University of Michigan Golf Course and at U of M's home football and basketball games.
