Mike Milidonis - Legacy 2009

During a span of 28 years, Mike taught and coached at Pioneer High School, Slauson Middle School and Tappan Middle School.  He taught Life Science, Gymnastics, Personal Fitness and Language Arts during his career.  Coaching at Pioneer High School included football, diving and gymnastics – his passion - where his teams won several Conference Championships, State Runners-Up Championships and three State Titles.  The teams also won several National High School Awards for athletic and academic performance.  Mike was also an assistant coach for the University of Michigan Women’s and Men’s gymnastics’ teams.  He has been involved in Gymnastics for the past seven Olympics and has been named the National High School Coach of the Year, been inducted into the National Gymnastics Judges Hall of Fame, and been bestowed with a Certificate of Olympic Merit Award.
