Pioneer faced an unbeaten Saline Hornet team at home tonight. Getting off to an uncharacteristic fast start, Pioneer scored 19 points in the first quarter, led by freshman PG Lauren DeWolf with 8. The second quarter was more of the same with Whitney Gallagher hitting two 3s to clinch a 39 - 26 lead going into the half. Sailne rallied in the third with a 12 -9 quarter but could not claw their way back. The final score Pioneer 65 Saline 51. Lauren DeWolf led all scorers with 20 followed by Mya Hicks with 12, Whitney Gallagher with 11, and Asaria Turman with 10. Pioneer hosts Ann Arbor Huron in a cross town match on Friday.
