Congratulations to the Girls Golf Team on their 6th place Finish at the State Finals. Lead by Junior Mackenzie Rooney, Junior Alysa Zhu, Senior Kara Muckstadt, Senior Hayley Marchand and Sophomore Alex Ellender, the team had a strong second round to move up 3 positions to finish 6th. The Pioneer Girls Golf Team team finished 3rd behind Plymouth and Northville Wednesday at the Washtenaw Golf Club. The 3rd place finish was good enough for Pioneer to qualify for the State Finals Championship on October 15th and 16th at Grand Valley State University Meadows Course. Pioneer was lead by Junior Mackenzie Rooney, Sophomore Alex Ellender, Senior Hayley Marchand, Senior Kara Muckstadt and Junior Alysa Zhu.

Monday the Pioneer Girls Golf Team won the SEC league championship. The team was led by Sophomore Alex Ellender shooting a career best 76. Also contributing to the great team effort was Alysa Zhu(80), Hayley Marchand (81), Mackenzie Rooney (85), Kara Muckstadt (88) and Camille Sowton(91). Pioneer shot at an excellent team score of 322 beating second place Skyline.

On Friday At the Hartland Invitational, Pioneer started the season with a 2nd place finish out of 23 teams. Pioneer was lead by Junior Mackenzie Rooney, career best round of 75. Also playing in the tournament and all shooting career best rounds for Pioneer were senior Hayley Marchand (82), senior Kara Muckstadt (81), junior Alysa Zhu (79), sophomore Alex Ellender (82) and freshman Kyra Kahana(101).
